I am a few months away from starting the process of building cabinets and would like the advice of all the smart people here. I am know I am going to purchase the Fuji Spray Q5 will have a dedicated spraying area. My question is what do you recommend for a strong finish for painted cabinets? The main cabinets will be some variation of a white while the island is likely to be a contrasting color like a blue or turquoise (doubtful this is significant but more information is better). Since I will have such a good sprayer I was wondering if this moves me into being able to spray a different class of products? Another few considerations. I do like the color availability that Benjamin Moore has and I really trust the local paint store that sells it. I would be willing to spend on this finish since it is going in a high use area and needs to last. Oil based, lacquer, alkyd, or whatever it does not matter I am open to all suggestions for a paint, primer, and/or top coat.

Use a waterborne pigmented finish that is KCMA certified, not paint.

My go to is Sherwin Williams Kem Aqua Plus. BM has the Lenmar which is similar.

Either will spray well with the rig your getting.

Search this area of the forum for more info. You'll be reading from now until your head explodes or you start the cabinets in a few months.
