oct 20 I'm heading to london looking for some input to what to see it like my 4x there  thanks

Not sure what the 4x reference is about...

How long you staying for?
Where about in London are you staying?
Is it just you or family?

Too many unknowns to give you a real answer. I love London, uber expensive to live there... Easy to get around most of it on the underground & buses.

Not sure what 4x means? But there plenty to see I'm sure.

Worked in London city centre a few times never again. Too many people and traffic.

Enjoy your visit, don't forget the rest of the country.

Yeah, I find his post really hard to decipher. Kind of a combination of 'text-speak' and unknown abbreviations?

I think the 4x means he's been there 4 times before.

Hopefully he'll come back and clarify?

Skip London, go to Yorkshire, grand place.

If you like sheep, rain & northerners  [cool]  Only kidding... Sister lives there, great place to visit in the summer maybe, but end of October?

Chinese food and Ronnie Scotts in Soho.

Borough Market

Science Museum

St Pauls including the dome.

ummm .. there's an amazing place next door called Europe [eek]

London? Find a pub and wait for your flight back [wink] [big grin]

Jump on a plane and come up to scotland. Play some golf do some hillwalking and admire the amazing scenery.
If you must stay in London avoid things like Madame tusauds. If you've kids there's the Harry Potter studios.
You could tour some of the soccerball stadiums although the only one worth looking at is 200 miles north in manchester and its red.

We went to England last year.  I was amazed at how pub food had improved since ten years ago.  Many had fresh veg and meat that wasn't overcooked!

It sounds like Jesse got on the wrong train (TGV). Were they speaking French?
