Chance to buy this for 750

FESTOOL CT22E dust extractor for sale. This unit comes complete with the the boom arm system, handle, hose garage, 2" and 1-1/4" anti-static hoses and an empty large Systainer. The unit is used, but has been well cared for. HEPA filters have been recently replaced.

Since the ReCon sale is going on right now, everything I say would be based on a comparable item on the Recon list if possible. I am not where I can look at the list right now, but is there a way for you to check it for a 'comp'.

I'll try to look later and post back here.

rljatl beat me to it, but you got your answer!

That doesn't necessarily mean you should pass on it, but you can certainly negotiate a better deal if you still want to buy it?!

I have the ct33 and the boom arm and handle will fit as well. I figure I'm at almost 475 to buy a boom and handle for my 33 then I get a sys4 and an extra ct22 with hose garage for the difference??

Not sure what you mean by, "I figure I'm at almost 475 to buy a boom and handle for my 33?"

Looks like all the reconditioned CT26's are gone now.

If it had a later model CT like a 26 Id say yeas, But it being a older model Id have to think about it.

For example

I bought a real beater CT 22 (well it looked like its been through the ringer even the plug on the extension cord has been replaced with a bright yellow plug ya get from the big box store.
I bought this just for my Kapex. (I use it for my CMS now and have my work center setting on it)

I paid $200 bucks for it.

Its ugly but it can still put a water melon through a garden hose and has for about 2 years. As I just got back from Germany late last night , if I got time Ill take a picture of it. Believe me its so ugly it'll scare ya

Thats a much more reasonable price. The CT22 is a good extractor. A new CT 26 is $625,  so why not plus ya get the boom arm which is pretty cool to

So if the boom arm and handle are ~$375, for another $225 you get:

• CT22E dust extractor
• hose garage
• 2" and 1-1/4" anti-static hoses
• Sys 4

That sounds like a no-brainer to me - especially since the boom and handle were what you wanted in the first place. And asking about it here sounds like it saved you $150?! Well done!

Isn't the FOG great?

BUMMER!!!

I can't count how many CL meet-ups I've had that never happened. I've finally gotten to the point that - as a seller - I will only meet someone when it's convenient for me, i.e if I'm going to be at a business appointment for half a day, they can meet me there any time during that window. If they don't show, no loss for me.

As a buyer, though, you're kind of at their mercy. Sometimes they turn out to be flakes.

Only once was I concerned about a deal that just didn't seem right. I suggested we meet at a certain public place, which was a city hall. What THEY didn't apparently know was that city hall and the police department are in the same building.

I called ahead to tell the dispatcher - a friend - what was going on so she could check the parking lot cameras once in a while. Everything turned out fine, but they seemed awfully nervous the whole time. I'm guessing that they didn't necessarily plan for it to end well for me, but with all the cameras and cop cars around they were wrong!

I suppose it didn't hurt to have an officer drive by, wave at me, and keep going.

[wink]
