Good price for used CT MIDI?

Are you talking about selling or buying, new or used? To properly answer your question, we need a tad more info.

Check the "reconditioned" prices for comparison.  I just bought a "reconditioned" mini for $350.  Mine looks new.

I saw a CT MIDI on craigslist for $350 and I was wondering if that is a good deal. It has all accessories and HEPA filter. Let me know what you think.

Brian,

What are the accessories?

Things to consider on that used CT .......................  what is the value of the accessories?  Warranty left (Festool warranty transfers with tool)?  Free shipping ?  Condition of unit and hose (does the listing have pics)?  How old is it?  New more powerful motor or the old less powerful motor?

Those things will help you determine if it is a good deal.

Just checked on line a new CT midi is going for 435 plus tax. Now you said that there are some accessories thrown in. You dont say what or which ones.

But on the surface $85 bucks is still $85 buck and your saving money on taxes to.

Is it something that you were looking to buy?

Meaning were you in the market for a CT midi?

Now , Is is a good deal?

Depends on condition if you were looking specifically for a CT midi.

Is it something to brag about,  No depending on the accessories.

Here a example, I bought a CT 22 fir $150 bucks about a year and half ago.

It was well used looked beat up but works good

The seller threw in a box of 5 bags to.

It looked beat up but I use it just for the Kapex. It sits under my Kapex mft out of site.

Is been going strong and the suction is great, it can put a water melon through a garden hose.

I thought it was a very good deal.

The price was very good and it works great for the application I needed it for.

On the surface it looks pretty thrashed but as long as it works I didnt care.

The look of it was probably why it was so cheap.

So its basically up to you the buyer to determine on your needs and requirements if its worth the money.

I got a 850 planer in a systainer used maybe once or twice for $100 off new. Was it a killer deal?

no!

Was it a good deal?

Depends on how much I wanted it.

I thought it was a good deal fair price.

Just some examples as to my thought processes when buying used tools.

Hopes this helps
