I use my CT36 as my only dust collection system.
I just got a Oneida Dust Deputy and the thing works great.    I am happy to find all my hoses connect without needing any adapters.

However, moving it around with my dust collector is quickly getting old, especially since the plastic cyclone is very lightweight when near empty and wants to tip over.

Who has a good method for fixturing the cyclone to your dust collector ?

Which DD model did you get?

The UDD mounts right on top of a CT just like a Systainer does.

Hi, I think these a for sale some where, screw to piece of ply then mount to hose garge.Iwould get a handle for the 36 as well. good luck

During the time when I had the CT26, I mounted the DD on a board with bungee cords which in turn was c-clamped to the garage.

Later, I had bought a systainer and it was mounted on the CT26, then the DD was bungee corded to systainer.

If you use two pails (to avoid collapsing), the bottom pail can be screwed to the board.

I got the DD Delux, with the extra pail and casters (which I am not currently using).

Originally, I was more thinking to fixture the DD to the side, so I didn't lose the hose storage location.  But its such a pain to wrap the hose into there, I suppose that is not such a great loss.

Oneida was a little thrifty when they cut the hose.  Its a little too short to mount the DD on top.
I made a fixture plate to mount the DD to the side.  The fixture plate is fixed in place using the Festool locks on the top of CT26, and can be removed in a few seconds.

How big is the pail/bucket? If the pail gets filled up half way while the tool's hose is mounted to the DD, wouldn't the set-up run the risk of toppling as you use the tool?

This measure was to be transitory -- that was about 15 years ago.

The DD pail has a step in it about 3 inches from the top of the pail.    So the pail is basically hanging from the top -- won't tip.
You can see its about a third full already
