Post some pics of that beautiful quilted maple.
You have inspired me to use my ECE planes more... only after I spend a day sharpening them though :-\
BTW when you showed me that hand planed board, I was in awe at how smooth it was... I now realize what you hobby woodworkers seek. it was pure Zen!
There is nothing calming... in reference to, chucking 100 bf a min. through a 20+ hp planer with the decibel output of a 747 at take off!! while your boss is yelling "Faster! Faster! anyone off the street, is quicker than you wimps" :-[ aaaahhhhhhhh!!!
I always worked faster when I was angry, my boss at the time knew this
Man, those old planers..... scary.... and frightened small children
