I'm in the process of building kitchen cabinets for a remodel in our house. Thanks to Erock and his videos!
I really didn't appreciate just how good the dust extraction is till I used the kreg jig to make some pocket holes.
I made more of a mess with 4 holes in 21 minute, than I did cutting panels, Routing dadoes, Plunging shelf holes and making domino holes all day.  [eek]

I've got the K5 jig with the dust extraction port but I have to hold the Festool hose to suck out the chips. Any one know where I can find an adapter for the hose?
thanks

My new air purifier has an auto function which alters the fan speed depending on how much dust is in the air.

After using my ts55 and domino the other day for an hour or so, it was still on the minimum setting. I dropped a pinch of dust in front of the sensor just to see if it was working and it immediately moved to max speed.

Pretty good demonstration of my ct22's dust extraction I thought.

It's a Blueair 450E. I've plugged them before on the FOG- they are absolutely the best and quietest purifiers you can get.

I have had a Blueair 601 for 7 or 8 years now and it is still working perfectly, but the 601 covers 700 square feet and my workshop is only 300 sq ft or so, therefore I was buying more expensive filters every few months needlessly. The 450E covers 400 square feet and comes with HEPA filters.

I believe this Fein adapter will work: http://www.amazon.com/Fein-921072K13-Step-Adaptor/dp/B00005M1SW/ref=sr_1_1?s=vacuums&ie=UTF8&qid=1398120529&sr=1-1

The big end fits on to the Festool D27 hose perfectly.

I am going to assume the k5 has the same size opening,  here is a thread that has some creative ideas:  http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/vac-adapter-for-kreg-jig/

McFeeley's also used to carry a specialized adaptor but searching on their site is a mess right now.

If you can make  or find an adapter it will really  get most of the pocket hole dust. And the suction will even help hold parts while you are repositioning pieces and working the clamp.

Not sure which Kreg setup I have, but my smaller (26mm?) Festool hose fits right on the dust extractor port...
