This is the newer model #10020C demo, not sure about the sound comparison test near the end on Home Depot so I found the YouTube video.  What do you guys think?  Edited out??

They're that quit. My 2HP 4 gallon with the older motor is just barely louder than what you here in the video.

The pancake is really that bad in real life also...

At first I was like where the heck is Tom spraying these doors?? Then the video answered the question, as the spray booth was shown.

FWIW the California Air Tools compressors are sold by CAT on Ebay, for far less money. It may be a previous model, or mix and match frames, but mine came in perfect condition. The warranty is less, but for almost half price...

Here's a part from the CAT video, far left is the guy talking and he states that it's a bit louder than normal voice.  The large bands are the pancake compressor running and in between is supposed to be the CAT #10020C running which is a fraction of the voice amplitude.

I have not heard the new model yet. I don't doubt it is as quiet as the video shows it to be.

If you want to send me $200.00 I'll get the new model instead of the one on sale. For your investment a video would be forthcoming.

Now here's another comparison video with a CAT CAT 10020C.  A bit different sound level than that other video.  I can believe this one.

Are you still using the Graco Compliant Air Spray gun with the Triton?  From my research it sounds like a good setup and would only require a larger compressor with high viscosity paints. 

What have you spray with the Triton setup so far?  Do you still prefer it to your Fuji setup?

Yes, the compliant gun. Going to get additional needles and nozzles for it.

Primarily stains and KA+ clear. I did shoot some pigmented KA+, worked well for that also.

It lays down the finish better. The gun appears to "work" the products better.
