Granat, Titan, Rubin2.. AHHHH!!!!

Plywood.

Which is best? I hear that Rubin2 tears up, but Granat seems to 'last forever'

any opinions on this are appreciated. My sanding is typically 120-180-220, then horizontal hand sanding with grain if there are swirls.

Rubin for bare wood. Granat can also be used on bare wood, as well as just about anything else like paints, finishes, etc.

In the shop, I rely on Rubin in 60, 120, and 150 grits for bare cedar, fir, and pine.  It does not clog up like Granat does at times.  It also seems to be pretty aggressive.  Because of that, I tried it for paint removal, and it clogged as bad or worse than alternatives.

I use Granat at home for just about everything else: plywood, veener, hardwood, plastic, even metal. 

I think both last a long time compared to chain-store brands.  I also seem to get better mileage out of the Festool papers than Mirka or 3M Trizact.  The 3M may have an advantage over Granat on solid surface.
