Grandfather of T Loc Systainer??

A friend of mine gave me  this wooden box  marked  FESTO.... is it the grandfather of the actual Systainer?
how old can be ?  can be a collection item? it's a curiosity !  I put a CSX  as a scale object in the photo.
I'll use to store bits in my  new sys port ( special place will be done!)

I would try to contact Festo/Festool in Germany via email and send them an image and ask it that is a genuine case from the past.  If it is, I would protect it and put it aside.
