[poke]   Just wanted to let fellow Fogsters know about a clearance sale that I just found and took advantage of. This is for a 6-piece German-made fractional chisel set made of German Chrome Vanadium steel and are hardened to a Rockwell hardness (Rc) of 61...same as the Two Cherries.  
Only $85.95

They are on clearance because Hartville Tool is no longer carrying this brand, due to import difficulties.   [scratch chin]

Replying to my own thread...

Rec'd the chisels today and they look very good - nice balance, excellent steel, easy to hold...perhaps a notch better than my Sweethearts.  These will be a pleasure to pare with.  Tomorrow, I will tune them up with the water stones and stroop. Very happy with this purchase.

I didn't see that! But, did you see the Festool vacuum pump beer pouring hat...with accessories? [blink]
 
...just to tell the UK (and other european) members they're also on sale at Rutlands.

I got the 11 pcs set and I find them to be very good quality at the price. They're sharp out of the box but with an extra tune up they get razor blade sharp!

Now I'm waiting for the skew chisel set to arrive  [tongue]
