Greetings everyone,
I am stoked to finally have made it to this site, I have lurked on and off for a good while and finally joined yesterday. I live outside of Dallas and Teach music during the day and worcck as a carpenter after hours and weekends. I run a small cabinet shop and have been slowely getting into Festool over the last 9 months. My first purchase was a TS55 9 months ago. I needed a tool to help rip stain grade plywood without all the tear out of a usual circular saw, and also with the accuracy that comes with a track saw. After a fair amount of diliberation between Festool, Dewalt, and Makita, I finally settled on the Festool. I knew that I would eventually get into a few of their other tools, and also I read review after review stating that the cut quality on the festool was simply a level above. I have been using the tool part time professionally for 9 months and have been extremely pleased with it. I baby the tool as affording it in the first place was rough, but purely in time savings it was completely worth it.
Next purchase was the 109" guide rail to complement the track saw. I wanted a single long rail to keep in the shop for long sheet goods.
THe most recent came within the last month. I purchased the Domino500 and the CT36 set, along with the Domino assortment kit, then last week I purchased the work shop cleaning set that comes with the metal nozzle. I wanted that kit specifically because of the metal nozzle, it reminds me of the old Kirby Vacuum cleaners.
I truly love the tools, and the fact that they all complement and work so well together is an added bonus.
Anyhoo, proud to be a member here and looking forward to lots of new information gained.
