Hello all, I'm new to your group so I wanted to say hi and introduce myself.  I've been building cabinets and furniture for 20+ years using conventional tools.  My niece's husband, a young Air Force officer, has been trying his hand at woodworking for sometime now, but lacks the tools. We've talked about tools, but relocating regularly discourages him from tablesaws, drill presses, etc. That began my introduction to Festool. In helping him find tools that met his needs, I discovered to that Festool was his answer. And of course, I started buying Festool. I've watched a lot of YouTube and am delighted to be associated with your folks.
 
Mike,  welcome to the FOG!  There is a lot of information here and many active members who will attempt to answer questions and give advice.

    Festool certainly is well suited for someone relocating a lot.

Welcome Mike.  The FOG is a great place and has a wealth of knowledge to share.  Enjoy your stay.

I went to Austin TX many years ago and my business associate told me I HAD to try some Plano beer.  It was excellent although I can't remember the brand name ( it was very good obviously  [big grin].

Feel free to contribute as this is what makes this place so special.
