We have added a line of GRK Fasteners to our catalog. Many sizes of the R4 Framing Screws, Caliburn Concrete Screws, RSS Structural Screws now listed. We will be adding more sizes/styles.

We would be happy to stock anything specific, and on a recurring basis, if anyone is looking for a reliable fastener dealer. We have Bulk Boxes in stock as well!

Does GRK make a R4 #6 shorter then 1 1/4"?  i havent been able to find any of these, and not sure that GRK even makes them

i'd really like to see #6 R4's in 3/4" and 1" if possible, and even a 1/2" would be useful as well

Hi slopjock78.

I don't believe so. Nothing that short on my Dealer list. The shortest we have are #9 x 1" left over from some legacy stock. We have 5 Handy-Pak's in stock (500 pcs total). Those have been dropped from our dealer list as well so when the 5 are gone, they are likely gone for good. You can find and order them here if interested: http://www.ustoolandfastener.com/grk-r4-handy-pak-9-x-1-100-pcs-02089/

Not sure of the current availability. But I have R4s in both #4 and #6 in 3/4" length. And #6 Pan Head in 5/8" and 3/4" length. Guess I better use them sparingly?

That would be a yes...I ordered some GRK screws from US Tool & Fastener yesterday and had a nice conversation with Matt and Ryan in sales. The conversation got around to small screws in short lengths and I told Ryan that it was my impression that the GRK screws were originally marketed for the construction industry so that there probably was not a huge market for the smaller screws. He agreed and said that was his assesment also and was probably the reason the smallest R4 screw GRK now produces is #8 x 1" long.

The good thing however, is that they are actively seeking the entire GRK line and have discussed making smaller quantities of screws available, even if they have to do the repackaging themselves. The bonus round is free shipping. [thumbs up]

It would be great to have one source for all sizes and types. Too bad about the dropping of some sizes. One of the draws to GRK for me was that everything was available in one uniform line.

As i stated in a previous thread, I was very serious about switching all of my wood working screws over to GRK.  But was disappointed to find out that their line of screws is limited in the sizes i use for wood working.  I would also like to switch my whole line to one brand, or more importantly, one drive style.

I would say the majority of the screw I use for woodworking fall in the #8 1"-2" range, which GRK does have.  It would just be nice to be able to find a few sizes of the #4 and #6 with the same star drive

Look into Spax Screws.

I find the Spax Multi Material Screws far better than the Tapcons and the GRK Caliburn in hard surfaces.

Thanks zapdafish. You are correct. We just implemented our new shipping policy this week. I've corrected the original.

They drive in better and do not strip the threads cut in the concrete easily.

They also come in many more sizes.

Regarding "short" GRK screws-
I got some old stock several months ago from a former dealer- I dealt with a woman named Michelle.
