Guide compatability

Are all guides compatible with all saws regardless of model or age?  Thanks

Are you asking about guide rails, or the parallel guide that attaches to the saws that allows you to cut parallel to the workpiece by running it along the edge?

The short answer to your question is, yes all plunge saws work with all rails. However, if by "saws" you mean jigsaws, then no. The jigsaws use a guide rail adapter that uses an outer rib that was not on the original FS/1 guide rail.
