hello everyone,  my name is Craig i am a tile setter.  i just bought a 55 and rails mainly for laminate countertop work.  can you give me any ideas of how to store the 105" rail in a trailer so it does not get dammaged.
thanks  Craig

Hi, Welcome to the forum. :)

If you saved the wood box that it came in, it makes a pretty good storage case.  Could be mounted  to the wall or someplace in the trailer.

I have been in the process of outfitting a box van and I have a decent spot for the guide rail, but I will be building a home(long box) for it soon and it sucks to dent the rubber strip which is easy to do if not taken care of.  I hang them on nails in my garage shop.  I have never heard anything good about the bags, Eric

Hi thanks for the input i think i am going to build a shelf for it. i will post some pics when finished.

i hang mine from the ceiling in the garage.  i use 3 t type lumner supports from the hardware store for $8ea

I know you own  a camera. ;D

Well I made my little shelf for my 105 rail yesterday.  I may have overbuilt it a bit (stock was 3/4" phonlic plywood)  what i need now is help in inserting pics.

happy fathers day Craig

Hi,

Here is a link to the forum board with Photo Inserting info and tutorials.

Also you can click the "Additional Options" outside  the bottom left of the reply text box. That will give you the option to just click browse and pop pics in right from your computer.

When I got my 108" guide rail (I think thats the one I have. . .), I saved the box it came in.  I just pulled the cheap masonite off it and replaced it with 1/4" ply.

I've taken and bungied all my rails to the ceiling of my trailer. I've got a 14' trailer and it's has 2' centers. You have to do every center otherwise you get bounce.

Spring clamps work well also. make sure that the rubber tips are in good shape or the tips will scratch the rail.
