I mostly use my Festool tools in my garage, which is not air conditioned (yet).  In the warm summer months, it has been very hot in the garage, and the splinterguards come loose.  I have tried storing them both vertically and horizontally, and this slippage occurs in either case.  Is there any other adhesive I can use in addition to what is on the guards for a more long-lasting adhesion?

Even though the newer splinterguards are better than the old black ones, I still use a layer of Fastcap SpeedTape when installing new splinterguards, and have never had any problems with this method.
You'll want to clean up all the old residue with a razor and solvent, of course. Install some SpeedTape the length of the rail, then trim flush before removing protective film.  Then add your splinterguard.
Fastcap makes some really smart products.

Hi, Dare I say use the better Makita Splinter guard, Oh dear that's torn it.
2nd, we have real heat here and they work well, I use a laminate roller to make sure they have full contact and clean the rail. B
