Haha, the “hobby” has turned into a second job.  That’s for sure!  But it’s still fun!  And as far as being busy…busy is an understatement!!!

But you do do good work bro

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words.  It’s been an adventure, that’s for sure.  The one consistent theme….I’m still learning new things!

I built a barn door for a bathroom.  I am hanging it this weekend.  Have you ever added a interior lock for a bathroom?  If so, can you offer a recommendation on the type of lock?  Advantages/disadvantages.

My biggest problem was carrying it up from the basement (18 steps) by myself.

Header is installed and door is upstairs.  I have to add the hardware to the header and mount.  But since it is for a bathroom a latching mechanism is suggested.

Thanks,

Packard

There are several options for you. If it’s a single door I have primarily used hook system commonly found on fence gates, although I use more decorative ones.  For double doors you have many more options.  I’ll find some pics of both and attach.  Feel free to reach out if you need any advice on install.

Thanks.  I have seen the hook system and there are "blacksmith" versions available. It seemed the easiest to install.

I will watch for your suggestions.

Total of three doors built and installed in Landon Winery in Greenville, TX….the two large doors are in a bypass configuration while the third is a single door.  Very cool place…

Those steel doors are 🤩

You have quite an impressive range!

I recently began working with metal out of necessity. I much prefer wood.

Anyway, thanks for sharing - always nice to see your work

Thanks!  It’s nice to work with metal from time to time.  Something different
