Using Festool's shaped the way I worked and I believe helped me make my one man business a success. The way I started, without the Festool's I just could not have done it. Try working in a small DEN with 6 kids in the house, dust collection was imperative, straight lines were imperative. I then went to a 3 car garage and finally bought a home with a 2400 sq foot shop on the rear acreage. For me Festool(first and foremost), Microfence and finding the Joe CNC forum(to get me started in CNC) were all key to my business even working.
It's finally happening. I hired an estate sales company that is going to sell off all my stuff. If you want to come look before that sale starts and have first shot at CNC items and some used and a couple new nad many used Festool items come take a look. It all started with a Joe's CNC and FESTOOLS for me. I have a ton of Joe CNC stuff for a newb wanting to build a cheap machine and thousands of other CNC and woodworking items as well. Tons of vacuum press items bags, motors etc from small to enormous.
The actual sale is May 25th and 26th, but some of my better CNC stuff and my largest turn key machine I will only sell to someone I know is going to use it. Festools are new to well used including many repair parts and Festool from Germany only tools(large sanders), some of those may be gone fast though as the estate sale owner has private sales starting tonight.
I have too much to list right now. My main CNC machine is a steel frame and gantry with an Avid controller, NEMA 36 Motors/ spindle, zero touch plate, all set up tools to get the spindle and table perfect when re-setting up, runs Mach 4, etc. I'll toss in my design software too. I also have brand new replacement parts for the machines basic parts including spindle, linear bearings, etc. It's a 60" x 60" machine. I even have a low Noise DB Grizzly HEPA Mini Cyclone dust collector with it.
I can post pics later, but anyone that can drive out it's best come as soon as you can. I have G540 controllers, Gecko drivers, Probotix and Acorn controllers, Power supplies, VFD's, all brand new stuff. I also have a well used working table top belt drive CNC machine with a PMDX controller and the computer and software to run it and design and cut parts.
I also have a ton of used items including JOE CNC parts that someone can purchase, build and be up and running for cheap. It has a unistrut base and MDF carriages, but a steel wrapped gantry. I have enough motors and controllers, you can buy everything you need from me to get up and running. Ask about it, better yet just come look. I don't feel like dusting things off and making them pretty.
I am so overwhelmed it took the workers seven -10 hour days just to get my shop to where you can walk around from the sheer volume of items, everything from wood(90% exotics)to band saws, table saws, Festools, routers, router bits, it goes on and on.
Just think if you had a 40 x 60 shop and for 20 years your wife let you buy whatever you wanted and you used the stuff to run a one man business. I lived it and it was fun, but it's over. My larger machines are Grizzly, some brand new in the box, some super well used. I have a couple Delta tools, a 15" X5 planer, etc and several complete vacuum presses and items.
Some items include: 20" Grizzly Disc sander, new in box, 15" Grizzly disc sander used maybe 3 hours, Grizzly band saw that served me well 20 years and needs maybe 100 bucks in parts to go another 20 years. Grizzly total shop 3HP Cyclone Collector, brand new never used but out of the box. Tons of micro fence stuff, over 30 thousand small items from well used to new in box, routers, sanders, MFT tables(older rails), the super large Festool MFT table that holds 2.2 regular tops(older rails), I don't think they make it anymore. etc, etc.
I'll post the estate sales info, but for the best deal come look private before that happens.
CNC note:
For the right guy maybe with a family that dreams of a CNC machine they just don't have time to build or can't afford, who knows I might give them the price of a lifetime on my main Turn key machine. I won't give it away, it's pretty simple to figure out what it cost me to build. Again, the machine is all Avid stuff, but steel, not 8020 base and gantry. The software alone is near 2500.00 retail.
I already have my home in FL, I don't even have a garage, so it's worth a look if you can drive to Woodstock IL, 60098.
I'll post a link the estate sale people make, but if anyone comes before that by appointment it is to their benefit.
Oh I also have regular home items as everything is going. Some brand new weight lifting bars, 400 lb weight set(near pro quality)squat bench set up so you can safely lift alone(brand new) other workout machines and benches, furniture(most needing some woodworking to repair) and a couple of Pianos. One is an 1897 Steinway Baby Grand that is already dissembled. It is one made before an 88key became standard or it could be worth ten times more, what a beauty for a piano player or even a decoration for an extra room. It will go for well less than a tenth of its value!
Message me or post here and I will check each night and sorry if this message is a jumbled mess.
