Hall/sofa table

[Gene Davis]

Modeled after a larger one designed by the Scottish designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and seen in photographs of his whole-house project Hill House, in Helensburgh, Scotland, circa 1904.  Someone did an article on a build in one of the woodworking mags, done in poplar.

Mine is larger than the one from the article, but smaller than the original.  It measures 60w x 22d x 29h.  In rift white oak, cherry stain, Minwax Antique Oil finish.  Dominos used throughout.

Very nice indeed. As a Scotsman I am very interested in CRMs work but there was a resurgence in interest about 15/20 years ago and over here it was done to death. Every shop had jewellery, coffee mugs, place mats, ornaments, watches, calanders and anything else that it was possible to attach a CRM design to. That saturation slightly tainted it as it became a bit clichéd.
This however has got me thinking I should have a CRM project in the pipeline so thanks for posting/inspiring.
