Hammer A3-26 experience

So ZXCV...have you got that set up yet?  Wondered how you were liking what you're seeing?

[member=4826]suds[/member] No, have been delayed by a trip to the hospital for an infection in my foot caused by a deep hematoma.  [eek]

So far, all I have done is remove the outer 2x4 cage and order the casters.  Next, I have to drill two holes for the rear casters, install all four casters, and then figure out a way to get it off the pallet.  As you can see from the picture I posted above, the pallet must be at least a good 8 inches off the floor, maybe 10 inches.

Any suggestions?

I notice that quite a few of new Hammer owners had the DeWalt 735 and wondered how they would rate the difference of working with the wood between the two.  I know the noise may be more on the DeWalt over the straight blade Hammer but what other impressions between the two are there?  Of course I'm coming from a couple of Ridgid machines so there may be a significant leap.

Holy cow!  Where do you start?  I made this exact transition.  The Hammer doesn't bog down... ever.  It's super quiet with the Silent Power head.  My DC is actually louder than the A3-31, even when running a board through it.  It doesn't trip breakers.  It's fast, plenty fast for a hobbyist.  Having the 12" jointer is fantastic.  I never run out of room so to speak and have to rip a wide board to make it fit.  It's just a great machine!  I'm planning on upgrading my K3 to a KF700 a little later this year.  Festool and Felder... you can't much better than that.
