Hammer A3 31 versus A3 26

Dave, which Rockler mobile base did you get? Was it the HTC3000?

Matt,

It is the Rockler all terrain mobile base.  The hammer A3-31 is not exactly rectangular at the base, but the Rockler base has very large triangular gussets at each corner for the so there was no problem fully supporting the A3-31.  The wheels have a large 5" diameter, so they are easy to roll over expansion cracks on the floor.  Only the front wheels swivel, but I find it reasonably maneuverable for my crowded garage.  Zambus style casters would certainly be more maneuverable (I have them on my bandsaw), but they would add inches more height to the jointer tables, and the smaller wheels get stuck in the expansion cracks.

Thanks for writing back. I almost ordered the wrong mobile base.
I also hadn't thought about the wheels getting caught in the expansion
cracks on the concrete floor of my basement.
