Has anyone been able to get into the Hammer-Felder Owners group site?  All I see is "connection problems" when I call up the website.

Not sure what you are talking about.  I just went to the Yahoo Felder Hammer Group and it was up and running fine.

Yes - Frank was the guy running that site.  Find [member=20326]SittingElf[/member] (Sitting Elf) in the member list here and send him a PM.  He has not been on FOG since December of last year, but he might still have his email active.

My mentioning him in this thread might also send him an email alert.

I think it's been down over 10 days. The yahoo group is still quite active.

There are TWO separate Hammer Felder internet groups?  Lordy.

The Felder Owners Group has been going since early 2000 and is the original FOG on Yahoo. The HammerFelder Forum was started when Frank didn't like the way the original forum dispersed info. He thought he could do it better, didn't make friends in the original FOG where all the info/people in the know really is and his forum basically went nowhere.

Yes, the Yahoo group is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable - even to a newcomer to sliding table saws like me.

The Yahoo interface is limited and clumsy - but the group is great.

I just signed up for the Yahoo group, even though I wasn't crazy about giving Yahoo my data (they have had two massive security issues in the last couple of months). Last year I bought a Hammer B3, N4400 and a used A3-41 (2003, blue model). I am having an issue with my A3 as the outfeed table for the jointer is higher than the blade and I can't micro adjust enough to get it right....hoping this group or someone on the FOG might be able to provide advice.

Welp, guess Im gonna have to join the Yahoo group now. I hate that system. So archaic.

While a lot of us share the same opinion it is what is, it's free and not owned by Felder. Many of us find that when you first setup the account when its comes to the subscription category go with individual email. Like anything it doesn't take long to get involved in a new way of looking at things. With individual email its easy to delete if you have no interest. There is a lot of info in the files and pics that helps both user with new and older equipment. The forum has been going since 2000 so it must be doing something right. LOL

Ben,  good luck. I signed up for a few days ago and still haven't been "approved". Let us know how it goes.

A quick search on the googlematic shows that frank retired from flying and went into the fast talking peddling of used stuff, aka the auction business.  It's a bummer that he pulled the plug with no word on the Felder forum, because I find myself needing info on the brand now also, since I just picked up a used A3-31 Hammer for my new shop.  I'm in the same boat as these last posters on this thread--I would like to know if there are any useful "tricks" that would help in getting into that Yahoo group.

Unlike a lot of forums the approval goes through the moderators and is not automated. I'll send a quick message to Brian the moderator for you.
