I am looking into purchasing a Hammer A3-41 combo machine and noticed they sometimes offer sales on their machines. The sales price is no joke, being over $1200 of regular pricing. Does anyone know why they have these sales? The flyers I saw were around November for Christmas I think. Is this a yearly thing? I can hold out a few months if that means saving over 1k on this purchase.

They seem to run sales as often as Macy's.  I couldn't tell you timing, but when I was looking last year, my A3 was on sale more often than not.  Maybe their anniversary had something to do with that?  If you're really interested, try calling a rep and see if they will give you the sale price you have seen.  Otherwise hang tight and check back every few weeks.

Yes, the sales are often, but never when you are ready. I have found them pretty intractable about price between the sale. I once had them quote me a price then refuse to honor it a few weeks later because the sale was over, and the reason it was a few weeks later is because the rep didn't return my calls or emails to get a few questions answered.

Usually you have to order then wait a few months for a shipment from Europe. Occasionally they will order several extra machines in anticipation of demand, then have a sale to clear them out if the demand wasn't there.

Best thing is to just call and find out if they know what's coming up - but definitely wait and don't pay retail because it WILL go on sale sometime this year.

Summer sale starts on the 19th I believe. Definitely don't pay retail, even if you are in a hurry. You can always negotiate some kind of discount if you push a bit.

When I was researching prices from a competitor on a bandsaw, I did find there was a pattern of sale prices available in the fall.  If Hammer had their sites set on preserving or gaining marketshare, they would have to match pace and load up with inventory around the fall and try to move it pre-holidays.  So worse comes to worse, if no other opportunities present themselves, you'll get a chance around Sept/Oct.

They their stuff is always on sale. Just give it some time and theyll be another. Ive been saving for the A3-31 myself and yea the discount is HUGE during the sales. Definitely worth waiting for.
