After reading a recent post by Scott Burt, it made me think that there may be some members that aren't aware of the Festool offerings of Hand Sanders with Integral Dust Extraction.

There are four different versions...
80x130 - uses the same paper as the RTS 400 or LS 130.
115x226 - uses the same paper as the RS 2.
80x200 and 80x400 - both use special abrasives that come as 80x400 and have a perforation in the middle to make 2 pieces that are each 80x200.

Additionally, there is a special hose for them that is 22mm diameter x 3.5m long and antistatic. There is also another hose that is not antistatic and is 21.5mm diameter x 5m long.

I have the small unit with the non antistatic hose.

Like it a lot.  Really handy for final finish and touchup sanding.

I thought Scott was onto something with his suggestion for final drywall sanding as well.

Tom to they come with a systainer?

Have you put together or can you put a kit together?

Say the 115 x 226 in a sytainer with sand paper ect?

Just curious

Just a note  for those considering the hand sanding block.  The non-antistatic hose is much , much more flexible and much lighter  than the AS hose. I tried both and found the non-antistatic 21.5mm was the way to go for the sanding blocks, hands down.

They normally come in a box. I could put them in a systainer but it for the longboard, it would take a SYS-MIDI to lay it down. They wouldn't fit in the normal systainers that have inserts for the abrasives. I don't mind assembling kits, I just need to know what someone wants in them.

Obviously, everyone has different needs, but I have been setting up our drywall hand tool kits using both the Sys open top toolbox and the fold out style Sys storage box.
