I just read on Talk Festool that Joraft turned 65 yesterday. A belated Happy Birthday to you John!

What, not telling your friends over here  [eek]

Happy birthday  [thumbs up]

Thanks guys! Yes, I had a good one. Dinner with my family at Duke's (on the surf in Malibu), at my favorite table.

Now I get to use those two magic words "senior discount" (I know, they won't work with Festool  [big grin]).

Congrats on the discount!  Maybe Festool will come around some day.

I love that scene from an old episode of the Simpsons, where papa Simson says "I'm old!  Gimme!  Gimme!"

Happy Birthday and many more!

That's right, I must now qualify for all sorts of stimulus! Thank God, I don't need any ... yet.  [big grin]

Thanks for the good wishes, Jesse.

Wow, just had a look at Duke's.  Man, that place looks awesome  [cool]

It is awesome. Duke Kahanamoku is claimed to be the guy who brought surfing to Southern California.

Wonderwino and I had lunch there when he came to SoCal for a visit. We had a good time. He took some great photos, maybe he'll post a few here.

Dukes is an excellent place.  Ate there back in the spring.

So John - is this the year you get a working shop?  Or are you letting your tools improve with age as well?

Good one, Neil.  [big grin]

I'm coming down the back stretch. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to store my little Festool collection efficiently.

In case you missed it, thanks to AARP the magic number is (was for you) 55...  [smile]

John & I at our table on the terrace, overlooking a beautiful Pacific sunset, with waves crashing just below.

I don't know if this is John's favorite table, but the view from any oceanside spot is spectacular.

Another Happy Birthday, here, John!  Thanks for the great memories in December.  Duke's was great, but so was Roger's shop!

Wonderful picture - that view is incredible - and hope the wine was worthy of the event!

Alex is pretty good with a camera, he took a lot of good shots that day. Just another winter day in SoCal.  ;D

No wine that day, Bob, I enjoy both drinking wine and working with tools, but never at the same time.    [wink]

John,

Sorry to be so late on this, but happy birthday.  My 64th was on the 26th so I guess our dates are pretty close.  I love your humorous posts and I hope you keep me smiling for another 65.

Interesting that most of us retire at 65.  You have been retired for the last 65 and NOW you are getting to work.  Seems like a good way to do it.
