Well not exactly  but it sure seemed like it when I picked up the new toy on Friday.  I got my mileage reimbursement check finally for my last six months of travel and decided it would be my mad money and I went mad.  Finally got off the fence and bought the T55 and to save money (a term coined by the  better half) bought the mft3 combo to save the dough because I figured it would be next anyway.    The packaging is great and the 90 was spot on the table out of the box I did not have to adjust anything.    I do have one question for those that have the mft3, In the docs that came with it (yes I read the manual) it showed a diagram with the legs extended but shows what appears to be bracing that comes from the bottom legs up to the center from cross pieces and thats not even close to what is reality.  I'm figuring thats old and they just did not bother to change the documentation.  For a great tool, their documentation is almost funny.  I read it, but to be honest once the table was upright I just played the video on youtube from festool demonstrating putting the thing together at the AWFS and it was a piece of cake.  Love the tool looking forward to using the TS55 on breaking down the ply (justification to get it).

I don't have the MFT/3 but I'd guess the manual is referring to the accessory braces that Festool offers for the new MFT design. They are sold separately, here's a link Cross Members.

I felt like it was my birthday too when I got my MFT3. There was a thread on here recently about whether the cross braces are necessary. Some say yes, some no. I've had my MFT since spring. Haven't found the need for cross braces yet. The table takes some getting used to, or is it that it takes some time for the table to break ones bad habits? I'm happy with mine and know I work safer now.
Good luck
