I recently posted in the "How to" folder about the headboard I was making .How the rotex 150 saved my bacon 2ce b/c I had to sand it down to bare wood 2 xs due to self inflicted finishing issues  [big grin]

Well here are photos of the final product installed . Though nothing special compared to the nice work some of you guys post  thought I d show yas what ol' jobbys been up to.

Oh this was made by mainly festools except for the HVLP for spraying and the pocket holes used for attaching the shelf. Though the Kreg jig home made module was mounted in the CMS.

Thanks spraying it was well, a learning curve, new spray outfit new material to spray, I seriously had to sand it down twice as I posted. Good thingI had the right tools.

I usually spray waterbase and have for many years. But I like the way this flowed out on the material Im going to keep on using this stuff.

Great work.  Turned out terrific.  If there was a learning curve with spraying as you mentioned, you’d never know that from the finished product.

Looks good...what materials are you spraying? The stain blocker, the stain and the clear coat?

I went for the rustic look so the blotching was intended, I used a mixture of mohawk finishes penetrating stain 30%, 50% Acetone and 20% clear. 2 coats of mohawk finishes clear solvent based acrylic . The mixture originally given to me at the mohawk distributor was 50% stain, 50%, Acetone and 20% clear. I had to play with it to get the translucent color I wanted to show off the grain.

I also one my first coat of clear I mixed in just a small bit stain to be used as tone the stain then a clear coat.

But if I didnt want the blotching or rustic look, I would of shot a coat of clear first before the stain.

So as I said it was a learning curve for me
