Hi all,

Have anyone experienced hardware from Rutlands.co.uk?
They seem to have many interesting tools, jigs and accessories at a very good price point.
I’m probably gonna order a 10 piece gauge and measuring set in aluminium.
They seem to have an interesting bench model router table, and what seems like a nice router lift.

They've had some bad reviews in the past but I think they've picked up their game since then. I bought several planes from them recently and had no problems at all. A lot of their jigs can be had for a lot less from places like banggood and AliExpress if you're prepared to wait a few weeks longer for shipping.

Thanks, I now have 3 giving me a heads up regarding quality.

Still, I recognise my Gyokucho Japanese saws from their website. I can highly recommend them.
I have both the spun wooden handle (rip saw) and the rubberised black handle, which can be detached for carrying or in a tool box. This I have in the plunge version, and it is amazing!
I have used my 3 saws for several years, and still as new (home/hobby use that is).
I’m gonna order a couple of the set’s and a roll and carrying bag.

Lifting this again..
Rutland has a few router bits which are interesting to me.
I also wonder what you experienced router folks think of router collect extensions? - see photo.
They also have these router bits that look interesting, and I’m only held back regarding quality issues if some? A router is a very fast spinning tool, and when using it in a table I wouldn’t have bits coming apart...
Among several useful sets, that don’t include bits that never will be used..:

I can't comment on the Rutlands router collet extension, but I do have one from Axminster, and I find there is more runout than I would like.  As a result, I no longer use it, but keep it in case I ever cannot find a workaround.

Of course the runout could be the collet in the (Triton) router, but I have no issues with it other than when using the extension.

If you get one, I recommend you check it (ideally with a dial gauge) when you get it, so you can reject it if you deem it unacceptable.

Thanks.
Runout could be an issue yes, and runout accompanied with vibrations is not not something I would want in a router. Just thought it may come to the rescue the odd time one might need the extra depth.
