Has anyone tried the new Dremel SawMax ?

Looks like toy. I have found these kinds of tools just do not hold up. It seems that these tools are aimed at those who a single tool box and try to have tools that try to do more than they should. I know that not everyone can be a tool addict like myself, but this looks like a let down.

Well I own a Dremel and it works really well so going from that I would assume it will be good enough to do the job!

BUT!!!!   It has cutting capacity of 21mm ummm Well I dont know what IDIOT thought that was a decent cutting depth for cutting things like skirting like its shows in one of the pictures!  Okay you do get skirting 18mm thick but ALOT is 22mm +!  So being 1mm short and having paint on the skirting it will not cutting through!    A 25mm max depth would of been a more appropriate depth in my opinion.

sooo I would of bought one but cus of the lack of depth its a NO!

FEIN multimaster is good for doing awkward cuts etc but for doing a long distance cut the FEIN is slow!  I often had to cut 800mm or so long to get my flooring underneath a unit  so this Dremel would of been a handy little tool to have! Shame!

OH also it says it will do 15mm depth cut on an angle!  HAAHAA what a JOKE cus if you look at the picture of the Dremel Saw max cutting on a angle its cutting skirting now iv never seen 15mm thick skirting!

30mm depth would have made it a serious tool - but then I suppose it puts it out of "Dremel class".

looks like an Exakt saw

First thing which came to my head but  then looked at it and it's very different mainly because you have a exposed blade with the dremel and you are able to cut flush. Unlike the exakt which is completely sealed blade and unable to go close to walls.

Does anybody think "Texas Straight Flush Massacre" when they watch that video?

Man the thing looks scary! Useful in the right hands I'm guessing ... but very scary  [scared]
