A few thoughts on the CXS (time for me to eat crow).

I have the CXS and it haas become my go to drill.  Ergonomics, weight distribution as well as overall weight are stellar.  It is not however my go to driver.  Currently thats the Dewalt, which has yet to come across something it can't drive.  It weighs more, not as well balanced and the battery does not last as long.  I know some of the weight is from the old battery but still.

Festool, please come out with a dedicated driver.  If you do I will buy.

CXS i would recommend to anyone.
just my 2 cents
Can you define what you mean by Dedicated Driver... [huh]  Impact?
My dedicated driver is my Festool T15+3, while I use my Makita 18 volt impact to round out fastener driving needs while my CXS handles all the lighter duty stuff.
Still haven't used my PDC that much...... [embarassed] [embarassed]  [doh]

Yes, impact driver, sorry should have made that clear.
yeah, I figured as much  [wink].  The previous TI15 quietly died away and they haven't replaced it.  Compared to the flood of other Tool Company Impact offerings out there, you would not be the first person to wonder why there is no similar tool from Festool being sold.  The PDC is close, but not the same due to its drive system.

I brought one a couple of years ago. I used it when I built my kitchen cabinets.  I loved the power, light weight and the chuck.  If you can get by the price you will love it.

I bought a CXS a little while ago and now it's my go to Drill Driver. I have an 18v Drill Driver and an Impact Driver but they don't get a lot of use now. I love the weight of the CXS and it's really powerful for its size. Battery lasts forever, in fact I have never run one flat as I assume it must be about to die and swap batteries. I love it. Oh and the chucks etc just make it a fab package. Not cheap for a 10v drill driver but I'd rather use it all day than an 18v and they both do the same job.

I wouldn't go to if for decking though!

Got a CXS set today to complement my T18+3, which sometimes seems too much of a drill to use as a driver. It should be noted in his bread that apparently the battery has been upgraded- it's now a 2.6 ah battery. It's charging now so I can't really say much about he power and so on, but if it was so good wi a 1.2 ah, I imagine it would be awesome with a 2.6 ah?  I love the balance and feel of it, and it will be my go-to drill for just small jobs, or used in tandem with the T18 when I'm doing a lot of drilling and screwing things together... thanks, all, for the recommendation!
