I've read about moisture meters both here and elsewhere and Lignomat seems to pop up as a make every so often, but usually people seem to have the pin-meter variety (mini Ligno series) of these.
Has anyone used the non-destructive scanner version of these? There's virtually no info about this on the net... [huh]

Link to manufacturers page and Link to a retailer for price idea

Is it good anything?

Hi Reiska- i have several Lignomats, including that one.  I find that the pinless meters are very useful for determining differences in moisture, rather than actual moisture.  For example, (i install/sand hardwood flooring) after a kitchen faucet leaks, that meter is very useful to determine how far the moisture progressed across the floor because it will read differently in the wet and dry areas.  However, I find the readings it gives for actual moisture content to be inaccurate.  I still like the invasive pin meters to determine actual moisture content.  Hope this helps and is written clearly enough.

A moisture meter is on my list also. Any other thoughts you may have on usage or models would be great!

How far off have you found the readings to be? My use case for a moisture meter is monitoring when lumber has reached a stable moisture content for processing.
