I got a 40T Diablo blade for my TS55 a while back. It’s been great for ply, and some cross cutting.
Today I needed to rip a 3m length of 250mm x 50mm Kwila for a door I’m making to match an external staircase (Kwila treads).
So as I don’t have a rip blade for my TS55 and the piece is too long to rip on my table saw (workshop only 4m across) I gave the TS55 a go.
I took it real slow obviously - max depth of cut, hardwood, crosscut blade.
Anyway - beautiful result as you can see. No scorching or toothmarks, perfectly square, no tear out.
I am pleasantly surprised.
I did just order an 18T Panther blade though. Next project will be a lot of long rips and this would be too slow. But for 1 or 2 cuts - great results.
