I am in the middle of making a bookcase ( three separate modules ) to sit on a desk I have previously made . On the first module I attached the carcase sides to the face frame with pocket screws. I want to know if I can use the domino to attach the sides on the other two modules to their face frames. If so, please explain the procedure. The face frames are 3/4 " cherry and the sides are 3/4 " cherry ply. In the middle module the sides will be flush with the edge of the face frame and in the outside module the outside will be offset 7/8" to allow for a raised panel end cap . How deep should the mortise in the face frame be ? What size domino would you recommend ? How do I register the domino for the cuts in the ply and face frame and allow for the 7/8 " offset on the outside ? Sorry for all the questions.
Thank you sooo much in advance for your assistance.

I personally would make the depth of the mortises in your face frame about half the thickness of your material. So 3/8" or 10mm by the domino scale.

Since you're using 3/4" material, I'd use a 6mm domino. That's about as close as you're going to get to being 1/3. 1/3, has always been the standard for tenons.

For the 7/8" offset, you should be able to adjust the fence for that. I haven't tried that of yet, so I could be wrong. Another method would be to add some kind of gauge block so that you could just align the base of the machine against it to register it. Either way, make yourself some test pieces out of scrap first, and you should be able to figure it out fairly easy.
