I saw this in a used in a local coffee shop.  I love the grain...can anyone help me identify this?

For comparison, this is some shop grade sycamore I think I paid $2 BF for a few years ago.

I think RMW is probably correct, Sycamore but if you are in the UK it would be referred to as plane or English lacewood.
Sycamore in the UK is totally different looking.

Mine came from PA, it is pretty common to see huge 100+ year old trees along roads and not used much that I am aware of.

Pretty nice to work also.

That is definitely Sycamore, been using it at work a lot lately so I am positive that's what it is.

Interesting.  I have seen some sycamore at my local yard, but none of it looked like this. Thanks all!  I'm going to file this away until I find a project worthy.
