I have a problem. i have been asked to replace the existing toe kicks in the a kitchen. the lady wants a rubber toe kick. i have not been unable to find it. It should be terracotta color. Maybe there is a coating or something. Help i have been unable to find this stuff.

If you are unable to get in a matching color, you can spray it with paint made to spray car bumper covers which can be off the shelf or mixed-to-order aerosol; try your local body shop supplies vendor.

Look for Johnsonite rubber or vinyl cove base available at any decent/professional flooring store. Be prepared to buy a whole roll if they have to special order it (appx 100') and don't have left overs kicking around. There is also a variation without the cove which can be cut off or put in upside down. It comes in a pile of colours and thus you will most likely not need to paint it. I would suggest not matching the tile as that has become "out of style" these days and stick with black. Cuts with a knife and use a proper cove base adhesive to get great results.
All the best.

being that i am in s cal the floor is 1 square foot terracotta tiles ,if the tiles change than so does the whole kitchen. this is going to sound stupid but hay do you mean tile store. to me that entails a trip to home cheapo.

By "out of style" I was meaning it is no longer a recommended practice to run the flooring up the toe kicks. Commercially it is common but residentially seems to have run its course. I am not a big fan of Home Despot, but I have seen it there. They should sell it by the foot. I would recommend finding a dedicated flooring retailer. They actually know what they are doing.
