Here are some Festool "not available anywhere" items we all WANT!!

While attending a demo day here in Germany today for the new Festool Edge Bander, Festool Company Representative Tom Meisinger was dressed out in apparel I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have!! [tongue]

Unfortunately, the pants (and the shoes with Festool green edge banding which are questionable... [blink]) are only available to Festool employees. That being said, he told me they are going to new uniforms following the big woodworking show in Berlin in a couple of months, and I told him to tell all his fellow employees to put their old ones on U.S. eBay!!  They'll be snapped up!! [big grin]

Those pants look an awful lot like the Engelbert-Strauss I ordered a couple of weeks ago.

E.S. does custom embroidery too, so I am thinking it would be an ideal source for custom FOG work pants, etc.

The quality and features of the pants are superb: incorporating Cordura panels through-out (including knee-pad pockets), Flexbelt waist band that gives ~3" of adjustment, and gusseted crotch (big plus for me). Pricing is right (not including fees,duties,shipping) on par with plain old Carhartts (I am never going back, my last pair lasted me 6 months before the crotch went).

I have done a quick calculation given my last order and the price per pant (20 order min.) including shipping duties and fees to Canada, repackaging for individual shipping and shipping to end user should be around $135 (not including FOG custom embroidery).

I just emailed my contact at Engelbert-Strauss for a quote on the custom embroidery.
