Is the center piece of the lid solid wood or veneer?  If solid, does it float in the frame or glued?

Thanks. It's solid and it floats in the center of a groove. I usually put a drop of glue at the center of the panel so the wood can move but not rattle.

Do you have an Incra fence and a festool router in a table? Thats about all you need. You can also do the corners with a dado blade and an Incra fence on a table saw if you don't have a router table.  I'll be glad to help with the rest.

I do not have an Incra fence, is the Incra fence on your router table, or table saw? I ask, because I think I have seen both. I do have a router table though (sorry, it doesn't have a Festool router in the table, I bought a 3 1/4  hp Triton before I fell down the Festool slope).

I use incra fences on my router table and my table saw. The accuracy is the best.

Thank you very much. I really enjoy making these pieces. One of the best parts is everyone elses enjoyment so thanks to all of you. I wish I had enough time to make everything I can think of. :-\ I'm on to 2 more projects now. These could be a while. Here's a pic of one of the veneers I made for LOMLs jewelry box .
