Hi guys,

i´d like to say hello to everyone. I´m Thomas, 28 and a big Festool addict.
It started about two years ago, after i had a lot of trouble with my blue Bosch stuff.

in the line: TS55R, DRC18, BHC18, PSC420, CTL SYS, OF1400, Rotex RO 150, Precisio CS50 (almost)-SET, DSC-AG-230-FS, a lot of extras  and i hope a lot still to come...

in my spare time i´m doing all kinds of wood projects, mostly with wood i have cut and milled by myself. I´m also into woodturning, unfortunately there´s nothing from Festool to buy for...

We dont have a festool board in Germany, so i´d thought ill try my best on your place.

[welcome]

You've barely suffered a scratch ... if you're not buying at least a tool a month you're really into knitting woollen jumpers [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

thank you :)
you tell me something... i´d love to buy more than one tool a WEEK... :D
but i´d get some real problems if someone finds out...
id rather think of good projects and when she wants that i´ll need a new tool... :)

What does the Frau want?

The TS and a vacuum are generally universal.
The ETS/EC maybe a better option than an RO-# depending on what are doing.

she should be into a new project, so that i can buy more tools :)

yes my sanding is not so good at the moment, but i need the rotex for the really rough surfaces when i´m milling timber with my chainsaw.
i´m thinking of rts400 ore something for the next stuff, ill have to sand an oak stairway soon.

I´d really like the Domino in my Workshop, maybe MFT ore the CMS for routing. Then a bigger Saw like HK85, vecturo for the small things and lots of other stuff..

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Though the FOG is based and operated from the USA it is an international forum. We definitely have an international presence in topics and posts.

Seth

yes, i´ve seen this in the meantime. I like it, if it´s international. trains my english language :)

thank you for the welcome, i´m just learning everything here, when there´s time i hope i´ll be able to put some content in here too.

By the way Festool Base is about 2 hours with the car from my place ;)

...

You might be right.

I think for 2 sanders the RAS and the ETS/EC cover more ground than an RO-#.
Another option could be a belt sander. The Festool BS105 looks nice... But I have not pawed one personally.

So you may (or may not) be better off with a RAS and/or Belt sander.
The ETS/EC is faster than a RO-# when the RO is not in gear-driven mode.
There are also some bigger 8" 200-mm sanders by Bosch or Rupes for the chain saw work.

yes... you make me think about this. I really like my rotex, but  maybe it should be a thing to buy an ETS150 and maybe a belt sander. I like the BS75, not so entirely heavy but you still get that frame for planing surfaces and an stationary mount.

Maybe i´ll get rid of my Rotex some day, it still looks quite new and has warranty on it.

I´ve also had a hard time thinking about my tablesaw. I´ve got the small precisio with some extras, but often the 50mm is not enough for me. Big precisio would be a thing but it´s so heavy and expensive. CMS with TS75 is not so easy in the setup.

Ah you get that great Schwabian Rote Wurst, mit Brote

we have great food in Germany! I´m located near munich, we have good Beer also :)

Oh yea I been to the Hofbrau Haus great bier. We usually go to Bayern a couple of times a year. Have you had any of the bier from Ettel yet? Its a monastery been making bier and cheese since 1330....

then you´ll have to go to the Tegernseeer Brauhaus, in my opinion best Beer in Bavaria and a really nice Landscape!

It´s been a long time since i got the time for my internet stuff, cause i´m building a new Floor on my House at the time.

got some new Festool stuff also, my Dealer made me a price i could not withstand:

vecturo OS-400 with all extra stuff and a lot of blades, and the new RTS-400R sander with a lot of granat sanding paper.

Working great, the vecturo is so powerful!

Wow very nice, you did good The 400 sander is very nice. I have one and use it all the time. Have you tried the interface pad for it? Its really good for round overs.

Ill tell me son about that Gasthaus, He is going to Edelweiss to go snow boarding in Feb. They will be flying into Munchen. Wish I could go with them.

i have to say i didnt even used the rts once till now  [huh]

price was just too good, actually i´m still in the raw building of my house, vecturo does a good job here on lots of different things. But soon there´ll be a lot of  wood to be sanded! I know the interface pads from the rotex 150, ill get one for the rts too.

You can reach brauhaus Tegernsee with the train from munich, its in the alps. About an hour of driving, but its really worth the visit!

Thank You. Ill let my son know. He's going with some friends so Im sure he'll really like it. Ill have him bring some 5L party kegs back for me to try it.

Thanks for the information.

Gruess Gott und herzlich willkommen, lieber Kollege,

Send more pictures of your projects!
Is Dictum your FESTOOL dealer?

stay in touch
Hans

thank you!

yes, i was wondering anyway why there is no german festool board. I know a lot of festool maniacs around here (maybe i´m one of them too....)

my dealer is a small hardware and tool store near my place. Very good personal contact and good prices. Dictum´s a great, mostly online store for really good tools and stuff. I really like their stuff.
My dealer also has Dictum, and there is a Dictum store in Munich but i never managed to get there. Maybe better for my purse.
