On the European websites the HKC 55 circular saw is officially announced.
Look at: Festool Germany
All the machines and accessories which are mentioned in early threads are there.

Very exciting, let's see this puppy move over this way soon "fingers crossed"

For what it's worth, though we won't see it for awhile...  The price would be about US$352.00 if it was available in the USA.

(Based on a €1.00 = $1.10 currently, and no VAT)

Just an awesome tool.  I love the guide rail setup.  Looks like a jobsite hero if you ask me.

Hopefully this pushes Mafell to lower their price too.

Oh wait, that'll never happen.  [mad]

Unfortunately that's the price without battery, charger and rail.
The "starter-set" with two batteries, charger and the 420 (cutting length) rail is about €800.  [eek]

I want, do I need, wheelll, of course!

€800, list price at launch I'll find it for €700 and be seriously tempted..

Look like a great tool but why not make the new track work with the TS 55 Plunge saw?

I'd reason because the extra height needed to create positive retention for the track means that the pivot point on the bevel is different. Thus if you were to bevel a TS 55 on a taller rail, you'd end up cutting into your edge guide and you'd no longer have a spot on cut when you return to zero.

Interesting to note the riving knife is incorporated in the blade guard. It's missing the parallel rise and fall system from mafell

Festool + dubstep music = better ads than in the past  [wink]
Haha!  I was listening and was like "ehhhhh, music is better than the US ads, but not a fan."

I myself is not a big dubstep fan... but it is much better than the "standard" music we have been listening to for the past x years.

Cheers.  Bryan.

The music in the ad is over the top, but perhaps there aiming this product to a younger crowd of rough carpenters...

I'm young at heart so I bob my head along with the music just to fit in!!
