i would use a router not with a bearing bit though straight cutter guide bush then 4 pieces of timber to make a rectangle and pin to wall make sure jig material is thick enough so it dont flex dont have to be anything fancy i think you are just trying to justify buying the 850 dont blame you its a nice bit of kit i have one
