Does anybody know who this retailer is?  Are they authorized Festool dealers?

They are located in Irving, TX but have no provisions for local pickup.

They seem to be carrying the full Festool product line but are selling at "Buy it Now"  prices at 5-10% above list prices and then add shipping charges.  For example, the Trion jigsaws are listed at $335 and the 2200 router at $876, plus shipping.

If they are authorized dealers, are they allowed to sell at prices higher than list?

They seem to be legitimate and have a high customer satisfaction rating.

Just curious.  I can't imagine that they sell much to knowledgeable Festoolians.

Again, for curiosity sake, where does an unauthorized dealer get new inventory from?

Assume that since they are not an authorized dealer that the 30 day return policy does not apply but the 3 year warranty does.

Actually, they are selling at the regular list price, they just add in the paypal and ebay costs in the sale price, otherwise they would lose money. Ebay and paypal fees are outrageous. They are not making any extra money by any means.

I had to get off ebay or raise my prices 10% just to break even.

I can only assume that they are listing it with a reserve and buy now price higher than the purchase price.  Hoping that someone who doesn't know any better will buy it for a higher price and they profit.  They probably have no "inventory" to speak of and will purchase it from a dealer and pocket the difference.  The return period would not apply. The warranty is transferable now, so it would apply.

I would not consider this a trustworthy source regardless of their positive feedback. Something shady is going on in my opinion. Buyer beware.

Thanks again.  I would not buy from them.  As I said, I was just curious.  I don't know why this piqued my interest but it did.
