G'Day
I come up with a simple low profile "clamps" for securely holding rail and easy to make in your shop. I know the rail does hold well on its own and sometimes you can't get the room to fit the standard rail clamps due to the length of them . I made up 4 simple 90mm high sacrificial supports that I sit on my bench and I have made these small low profile clamps that help hold the rail nice and secure enough so as not to slip about. I used 19mm ply and some spare Festool "rail grip" foam strip I had hanging around to grip better, they work a treat and they are designed to hold most sizes up to from 6mm - 25mm /30mm board,
but you can easily modify. The 1/4" hex head bolts don't turn in the track so that was an easy one.
The good news is today I get my newly ordered 3000mm track...much better than joining the 2/1400 in my shop, they can be for onsite work which is very seldom.
Hope you guys like it and copy away.....
