Homemade Systainer

I'm building several of these and am a bit stumped when it comes to making a hinge for the lid. I was thinking of a similar approach like how I did the handle. Wondering if anyone in Internet land had a better idea.

Yep I've seen his vid. I was trying to keep buying new materials to a minimum. The idea being using scrap as much as possible.

That is pretty slick. My only concern is that small 1/16" rod used. I wonder if that hinge would stand up to job site use? Worth a try though.

This month's Woodsmith magazine has plans for making a storage solution that is so inspired by Systainers and the Sysport that they did everything but paint it gray and green.
