The ingenuity of some people never ceases to amaze me. That's a great implementation and some interesting design ideas to get around some of the issues. And you post it on the same day my VAC SYS arrived... [crying]

Creating vacuum products that perform as well as the Vacsys is quite easy and usually a fraction of the cost of the Festool offering. What Festool doesn't offer is specialty solutions that you have to make on your own anyways. The actual fact of the matter is that a Vacsys unit mounted on a MFT is too high for most operations but few will admit this after paying the hefty price tag.
I've attached a link to an old thread, I got thinking about Vacsys when it was first mentioned in and around 2010. Its not as pretty as the vacsys but works as well and can can used either with an air compressor or Vacuum unit. Cost at the time was under $200.00.
