Unfortunately right now I am running my rotex, OF 1400, and Domino with my Fein Turbo ii. The hose tends to cause a lot of static with my rotex and of course shocks me quite frequently and I was wandering if any of the Festool vacuum hoses would hook into the Turbo ii. A vacuum hose would be a cheaper fix for me and would be much more convenient at this time than spending the money on a vacuum. It would also make it easier for my router and joiner to hook into.

A thin multistrand copper wire run thru the hose that is earthed at the vac and jammed between the antistatic dust port on the tool and the hose will dissipate the static charge and stop the shocks. A small hole drilled in the hose fitting at the tool can be used to attach the bare wire by wrapping it thru and around the end.

You can simply plug a Festool anti-static hose into the Fein. You would need to add a ground wire at the vac end.

Also can add a ground wire inside/outside the hose up to the tool. The Festool antistatic hose simply conducts electricity through the hose just as a wire does with an insulating hose.

The only thing unusual about the Fein hoses is that the small hose locks into a ring on Fein vacs letting the hose rotate to avoid kinks. The large Fein hose and all the Festool hoses lock into the taper and don't rotate. They both fit any Festool or Fein vacs.

To make this clear: Any Festool vac end fits any Festool or Fein vac. Any 50mm Fein hose fits either also. The small Fein Hose only fits Fein vacs.
