Horizontal clamp

When using the 488030 clamp the front edge (toward the clamp) of the workpiece rises off the table about 1/32". This results in the cut end of the piece being out of square vertically. Not a problem on lots of cuts, but really apparent on mitered corners. Can be corrected by holding the workpiece down with a screw clamp or weighing it down with something heavy. Effective but very troublesome. Help would be appreciated.  oljack

I have found with these clamps to much tension on the workpiece causes this slight lift. I would try to back off a little on the tension and see if this doesn't help

You can also clamp the clamps and/or dogs to the MFT using the screw knobs supplied.

Ditto.  These clamps hold quite well without a lot of pressure/force.

And you can press down on the tail end of the bar as you set the clamp.  Provided you used the knobs, this keeps the clamps from rocking back (which causes the lift) so much as they are set.
