After placing my order yesterday for
two sets of pairs, I caught the clamp bug and started researching additional size options. By the time I went to sleep, I had on order
two sets of pairs for 12, 24, 31, 40 and 50" size, all ordered from a different web site (with the exception of the 40" we all ordered on this thread), listed by the same vendor we purchased these 40" sets from on Amazon.
Even at what appears to be half price, I was making a sizable investment in Bessey Clamps.
I awoke this morning to a series of emails,
canceling each order. The reason given was rather
vague, but it made me realize
these listings were made in error, and not some inventory reduction flash sale as I had speculated yesterday.
After some careful consideration,
I decided to request my Amazon order for the 40" sets be canceled, even though as of the writing of this message, the order appears to still be processing. I did this because all I could think about this morning was the fate of the person who listed all these clamps for the incorrect price, and how it might impact their job when the losses are added up by their boss. Then I imagined that person being either my Son or Daughter, new at a job, making this same sort of rookie mistake and ending up in the dog house.
I decided I just did not need the savings that badly as to possibly get someone fired, simply because I needed some woodworking clamps. Having said that,
I was on cloud nine last night when I went to sleep, thinking about my good fortune!

EDIT: The listing price has now increased to $126.97, and is being sold only by Amazon now, which to me is further proof the original deal was a mistake.
