Are you hunkering down or did you leave?

I live 80 miles south of Tampa but I happen to be in Iowa right now.  I am, of course, afraid to go home now.  I am going to sit right here until the storm has passed.

Don't know what will happen to over $15,000 in Festools if the roof and windows are gone.  I hope there is a curfew.

I also have a 12X36 shed that I bought for a shop.  It's anchored but I don't expect it to survive.

Toward the end of the week I should be coming down I-75 in from Chattanooga to North Port in a pickup.  Let me know if you need a generator.  I can probably get all I need up here.

All you guys that are hunkered down, let us know how it's going.  And good luck.

Checking in from Saint Petersburg here! Hunkered down, boarded up, ready and as prepared as I can possibly be. Glad to have a Ts-75 for breaking down all the sheets of plywood for 7 houses! Now, we just wait for the storm to show up and pass by. Crazy storm coming!

I wish I would have been there to board up my windows.  The eye is headed right for my house and then you.  Also [member=27901]Billedis[/member] .  Good luck and keep us posted.

I live in Atlanta, about ~350 miles from the gulf coast.  Believe it or not, they're predicting 40 mph winds here tomorrow.

Well, Irma made a shirt to the East of us in Pinellas County which helped quite a bit. By the time it got to the center of the state it had been downgraded again and hit us as a cat 1 hurricane. 70 mile an hour winds did some pretty amazing damage. A whole lot of downed trees, and 80% of people without power myself included. The past few days have been rough for most but we are very blessed.
Glad to have a generator and a portable air conditioner so one room is cold in the house. My wife to be questioned some of my odd purchases over the last few years but was very glad I had plenty of fuel on hand to run the generator and not have to go deal with long lines at the gas stations.
Have you made it back from Chattanooga and how did you fare down in North Port? Hows the power situation for your neck of the woods?

All is good here in Riverview, just a lot of leaves and small branches in the yard, power out for about a day and a half, so we were fortunate again.  Trust everyone else is recovering as well.  Bill
