Just curious to know the percentage of FOGers that have more than one vac..I just realized I have accumulated so much Festool at this point I am finding I could really use another one, and dedicated my current vac to Kapex and on-the-go use. Was hoping to hear more from folks on how they use it. And wouldn't mind also hear about the Boom Arm for shop use.

I have six so your voting system does not work for me, I have the boom arm on a ct26 and its worth evey penny/cent

Three. One in garage for the cars, one dedicated to Kapex, and one under the twin MFTs for Domino, TS55 track saw, routers and misc.

I do have a Fein vac for clean-up in the "big tools" area.

Added a second CT this year -- got tired of swapping hoses back and forth between tools.  Now I can have one set-up for tasks at hand.  One has the Boom Arm and the other I just have the hose holder.  Great set-up.

Same here Scott taking the Hose out of a midi is a complete pain. I want to park a ct 26 right under my mft3 and eventually get the boom arm.

Looking to get the exact working height of the boom arm on the ct26 actually.

Seems you may have a vac fetish  [smile]

I have two.  I started with a Ct Midi.  When I bought my Kapex I got the package with a Ct 26.

I wanted to keep the Kapex hooked up to the Midi so I didn't have to keep switching the hoses. Plus I like that the

hose comes out of the top on the Midi.  Works great when it's under the Kapex.

Since you own a lot of Festool tools, another Ct would help with your work flow.  My brother-in-law thought I was

crazy for buying another Ct vac.  but he came over one day poking fun of me and I had him switch the Midi back and

forth a couple times between the TS55, Domino, Kapex and RO125.   He quickly understood why I did what I did.

Skids, Just buy another Ct.....you know you want it!   [tongue]

LOL..I do, I do! But for the EXACT reason you just mentioned above. Now I just have to explain it to my wife when she sees it.

You don't know the half of it...I also  have two trend t30's(fein type) and two crossover units [scared] [big grin]

i have a CT22 as main shop vac, and last year i did something extravagant and bought a MINI! In the shop it's under the kapex and it's the one i also take on site.
But now i realized that on site you really are better off with two vacs, and even in the shop i could do with another with another one because hooking it on and off the kapex and changing from 36 to 27mm hose gets old real quick.
So now i would really like to order a third one, but can't decide between MINI or MIDI, i took a MINI for the kapex because it's the only one that could fit under my miter saw station.

+1.  My CT 22 has the boom arm and stays in the shop.  The CT Mini gets to go for rides and meet customers.

I have two, a CT26 with boom arm and a mini.  I keep the mini with the Kapex (although my wife keeps borrowing it do clean up the place).  I went without the boom arm for many years, but would be lost without it now.

CT 33 in the shop and a CT midi for travel including Kapex. So glad I got the second one - makes things so much easier (read lighter!).

Two. CT-22, and my new CT-26.  The '26 replaced my noisy Shop-Vac. It primarily is hooked up to my 12" Milwaukee SCMS, but is my portable CT when I need to grab one and go. My older '22 has both my First Aid Sortainer and UDD on top of it, so it's not as easy to move around.  I have the Vacuum Tool Storage kit installed on top of the CT-26 so I don't have to pop the systainer open that the tool kit used to be stored in.

Actually I now own a total of 8 CT22 and 2 CT36.

From 2006 when I bought my first CT22 until early 2010 I bought 4 of them new, always as part of a deal with a new Festool. I realized that once my then new shop was ready for use I would need some more portable dust extractors.

What I did was to let Southern California dealers and Festool pals that I would buy up good demo or used CT22 once the new versions were on sale. I bought 3 more that way and one from one of the master cabinet makers working for me. He wanted a CT36 for his home.

I did pre-order a CT36 for use on-site by my installers. Recently I bought a second CT36 for the same purpose, since like the Kapex they take to installation sites, we all want the tools and Systainers to look factory-fresh.

Originally I selected the CT22 because that was the heaviest bag I wanted to remove from the vac. Then I stuck with the CT22s because I only needed to have one style of bag in stock. I charge every installation for a new CT36 bag. I give the slightly filled bags after installs to my cabinet makers who own CT36, so they save on bags.

Zero (not an option).  But, not for lack of desire.  I got a Fein just before Festool came to the US and it is good enough I can't justify another.  I have upgraded it with a CleanStream filter, dust deputy and Festool hose.  I also have a very old and loud Craftsman (also with a CleanStream) for real crap work and wet vac duty.
I would immediately get a CT26 if either dies.

We have Two.  Both CT 26.  We just got the boom arm, which is great. [big grin]  I also really like the work center.  It works especially nice on installs, as we use it to have our common hand tools portable to the different areas.[attachimg=1]

I have a CT26 with boom arm and MIDI for my Kapex. If I could do it over I would get the CT36 or CT48 and the MIDI.

My Mini is for small jobs and Kapex. Also have a 36AC with the wye adapter and two blastgates, so I can run up to three tools without switching hoses.
